My name is Abigail Zeigler. I’m an artist and designer.
I’m creating this website as a portfolio of my work, but also a visual journal for myself to look back on. I will enjoy seeing the journey of where my artwork has taken me. Art has already brought me to Italy and Japan, and across the United States of America! I will share those stories in the future here.
My approach to artmaking is to follow my curiosity. I try to make every activity as playful as possible. I ask myself, “how can I do this even more relaxed? Even more fun?” This is a mindset shift more than anything. It’s about being resilient and flexible when surprises happen, and embracing the unique way each material behaves. Instead of calling them mistakes, I think of surprises as little bits of character that add charm and individuality. Imperfections are evidence of being made by human hands.
